- If you are performing your music on acoustic guitar, then 2-3 microphones will be place around you to pick up as much sound as we can.
- If you play electric guitar then we will use either an amp (In an isolation room) with a microphone on it or plug directly into the recording equipment.
- If you compose and play your music on piano, a studio keyboard will be used with access to hundreds of sounds.
- Once your music is tracked and it is time for you to sing, a special vocal microphone will be placed in front of you to capture your singing.
PEA Studios makes available to the songwriter these house instruments.

Once we have finished tracking your songs, it is time for you and PEA Studios to make your music sound as sonically pleasing and professional as possible. This is done by:
- Equalizing high, mid and low frequencies
- Compressing and or limiting tracks so they have a level signal and output/volume
- Adding effects such as reverbs, delays and choruses appropriately to certain tracks
- Panning stereo tracks to their proper position (left and right) in the stereo listening field
- Positioning volume levels of all tracks in correct proportion to each other
- Maximizing (Volume) the entire track to be readied for final bounce to CD to either finish your project or ready it for mastering
PEA Studios wants your time with us to be as stress-free, productive and fun as possible. We will do everything we can to make your experience with PEA Studios the best it can be. PEA Studios is a Digidesign Protools digital studio. All of our mixing will be what's called "In The Box" or ITB.

| The Vault mastering studios |
|
When PEA Studios has finished recording and mixing your music, it is
suggested you have your project "mastered." Mastering gives depth,
punch, clarity and volume to your tracks. It is part science and part
craft.
Mastering is the final step to a more professional sounding
project. However, if budget does not allow, this process can be temporarily bypassed. Mastering is considered essential but can certainly be done at a later time.

- Duplicating or Replicating your CD
|
Replicated discs (often referred to as "pressed" discs) are created by
physically pressing your data into the surface of the disc, whereas
duplicated discs (often referred to as "burned" discs) encode your data
onto the disc by burning microscopic holes into the dye layer of a
recordable CD or DVD.
Replicated discs are the standard for major
commercial releases and is typically for orders over 300.
Your best choice for orders under 300 or "short-run" orders, is duplication. Both processes work in all audio CD players and computers.
Again, PEA Studios recommends Discmakers for this service.
|
Since
PEA Studios keeps all master audio tracks and projects safe and sound,
your original sessions are still accesible should you decide to make
additions or revisions at a later date.
PEA Studios wants you to succeed in every aspect of the word.
