Studio progress
Thanks for stopping by to check out our progress...little by little we tackle each part. Every step of the way is a new adventure...one I am enjoying immensely...always a challenge but I have great help and I am grateful for that.
Had to make some decisions on the room...wood floor, very expensive...soft wall throughout...hard wall? Could I have a pure, painted concrete floor? After offering sound samples to trusted ears, I will be going with painted concrete floor and half soft, half exposed painted dry-wall.

Room acoustics
I had GIK Acoustics make 5 bass traps and 6 mid traps to help flatten the EQ in the room...can't wait to open these boxes! |
Take it down
The maroon-ish burlap material on the back and side wall plus the ceiling had to come off. Plus the carpet on the floor has been pulled away and was taken out.

Fill it in
The burlap material and carpet are gone...time to spackle the nail and dry-wall screw holes in the wall. |
| We will be adding a second layer of putty/spackle, letting it dry and then sanding...will seal the drywall to prepare it for painting. |
The mess
A lot of what is being done to PEA Studios has displaced a lot of equipment.
